CONCEPT

ENHANCING OUR PLACE IN BEVERLY HILLS

Since 1936, our Saks Fifth Avenue store in Beverly Hills has been a luxury retail fixture along Wilshire Boulevard, as well as our West Coast flagship. The store has grown along with Beverly Hills, all the while bringing the prestige and elegance our customers have come to expect.

Our initial concept was put into motion years ago, born from our need to keep pace with the rapidly changing retail landscape. Our historic location was starting to show its age and adjacent retail vacancies along Wilshire were concerning.

In 2022, we took our first public steps toward executing our vision for our enhanced West Coast flagship environment. The concept was simple – bring a curated collection of uses that complement our historic retail presence, make way for the historic revitalization of our heritage building and create a unifying place for all of Beverly Hills to enjoy.

In 2022, HBC hosted an introduction to the project attended by over 100 community members. Here is a summary video of our public presentation of the concept plan. This public event showcased the proposed preservation efforts, the planned (and now executed) relocation of our Beverly Hills Woman’s store and the introduction of all new public space.
